Sometimes you just have to dig your feet in and refuse to budge. Because we are not using a General Contractor and Jeff is acting as ours; getting people to show up can pose difficulty. Jeff and I run a tight ship, me more-so than him. I have never been one to accept no for an answer, I don't want to hear about your problems tell me about the solution. Yesterday we were supposed to have the excavator, and the foundation guys out fixing the muddy build site and driveway in order to pull cement truck back and get the garage, laundry room, and mud room foundations set. That did not happen. So we had to dig our feet in. Thankfully we were able to get the excavator there this morning and things appear to be moving along now. Gravel has been poured on the driveway leading to the garage and sand is being trucked in for the septic field. A day late but were moving along.
The Steal beam will be delivered and installed today as well as the lumber for the house (yippee)! The rough framer was supposed to start this afternoon but with the set back from yesterday I assume he will begin Friday morning.
