Last night Jeff and I sat down and started pricing the final cost for cabinets. We needed to bring down the cost in the master bathroom to something more reasonable than $5.776.00. Thankfully my coupon skills kicked into high gear and I started browsing Overstock, Houzz, and Wayfair! I have never saw Jeff so excited as when I told him I found a bathroom vanity for our bathroom for $2,239, that included not only the cabinets but also the counter tops and the sinks! That is a $3,537 savings on the cabinets alone without adding in the price of what we would have paid for granite, hardware and two sinks. Churches lumber priced the girls bath cupboards out at a little more than $2500 and I was able to score a Vanity on Overstock for $1489!!! That is right, I just saved us at least $5,000 and I found cabinetry that I like ten times more than what we were going with from the local building supply store! After adding all my items to the cart, it was time for my sales pitch. I knew all along convincing Jeff to purchase an $800 copper sink wasn't going to even come close to being possible, that was until now. I called him and started with "If I buy the girls vanity on overstock vs wayfair I will save $600 but if I buy it on Houzz I can get a full mirror for $24 but will lose out on "Overstock rewards" (at this point he was mhmm mhmm mhmm whats the catch-ing me). I went all in full on to the knees pleading pitch "They have my sink you know the one I planned the whole kitchen around the copper one on sale for $736.00. It is usually $800 and I will get over $200 in Overstock rewards if I buy both the vanity's and the sink please please please." Instant laughter gut wrenching full out laughter "You want me to spend $700 on a sink" (well I didn't think it was that funny but he apparently did, should I commence pleading or wait until he stops laughing...IF he stops laughing). He started doing math adding numbers and said... drum roll please "Okay go ahead we saved at least $5,000 on the cabinetry" YIPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! I may have squealed in the middle of my office.
With both cabinets and the sink after adding coupons for 12% and $40 off with free shipping we walked away with a total cost of $4485.00... $1291 LESS than what we were going to pay for cabinets in our bathroom alone! Oh did I mention that price is not including $234 in Overstock rewards! I can not be more excited for the money we are saving and the quality of the items we are purchasing! I truly am loving this building stuff, well at lease the shopping part!
